This metal encapsulated safety switch is used to monitor moveable separating protective devices (e.g. sliding or rotating doors). The switch must reliably disconnect the circuit upon opening the doors and remain open until the safety device is closed once more. No return forces are active when the actuator is completely retracted, so that the safety device cannot be automatically activated by slight vibrations.
