This Sn62 Pb 36 Ag 2 alloy, called a ''Low Melting Point'' alloy, has the unique feature of passing very quickly from a solid to a liquid state at 179°C.
The presence of silver enhances the fluidity and wettability of the alloy and makes it particularly appropriate for soldering on surfaces or silver.
